Save the Pumpkins

The Third Annual Save the Pumpkins was held on October 26, 2024, in downtown Burwell, Nebraska.  “The Night Before” Vendor Show & Race Packet Pickup was held at The Hitching Post.  Race participants were able to pick up their race packets, as well as sip, shop, and browse "The Night Before" vendors.  A total of nine non-profits and businesses had vendor booths.  The event had 77 generous sponsors, 50 incredible volunteers, and 143 amazing participants that signed up for the 5k Run/Walk, or One Mile Fun Run/Walk.  Many participants also signed up for the costume contest.  Andy Christensen as Rip Van Winkle was awarded the highly coveted costume contest plaque.  Race registration included a t-shirt and a sweat towel donated by Farmers & Merchants Bank.  Throughout the day you could enjoy a pancake feed, sponsored by Burwell Get Fit, and participate in the silent and live auctions. 
Proceeds from the Third Annual Save the Pumpkins went to 4 THE CURE for a total of $13,170.75 and Sandhills Strong - Save the Pumpkins Account for a total of $13,170.75!
