​FIRST ANNUAL SAVE THE PUMPKINS

The first annual Save the Pumpkins was held on October 29, 2022 in downtown Burwell, Nebraska.  Participants could sign up for a 5k run, 5k walk, or one mile fun walk as well as the costume contest, registration also included a t-shirt.  Following the race was a fall festival at the Green Thumb Hometown Store.  Events included a pancake feed, petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, yard games, bake sale and live auction.  Proceeds from the events went to 4 THE CURE and Sandhills Strong - Save the Pumpkins Account! The first annual event had a total of 182 runners and walkers.

Thank you to the wonderful sponsors, awesome community and fantastic volunteers for a successful first annual Save the Pumpkins.  THE FIRST ANNUAL SAVE THE PUMPKINS RAISED A TOTAL OF: $24,000
