Vendor Show & Race Packet Pickup
Friday, October 24, 2025 4 PM to 7PM
The Hitching Post - 440 Grand Ave, Burwell, NE
Race participants will be able to pick up their race packets on the Friday night before the race. Anyone & everyone is invited to to sip, shop, and browse "The Night Before" Vendors.
- Vendors Include: Painted Pony Ink, Valley County Health Systems, Velocity Storm Solutions, B’s Burnt Brims, Sandhills Strong, The Hitching Post, The Brandin' Iron, Melham Medical Center, Community Memorial Health Center, Hello Lovely Boutique, The Green Thumb, and Gumb Land & Cattle.
- FREE WILL DINNER with Pizza Palace Pizza & The Hitching Post Salad Bar
- Drinks will be available for purchase from vendors.
- You will be able to register for the race and purchase commemorative pumpkins.
- PLUS Raffle Tickets, Start of the Silent Auction, & Sandhills Strong merchandise will be for sale.

The Key to Burwell
- Check-In (Located just inside the front doors of the Hitching Post)
- If you have pre-registered you can check-in for your t-shirt & bib! If you checked-in at "The Night Before" you do not need to check-in again on Saturday morning.
- You will be able to register the day of the race until 9:00 am.
- Volunteers please check-in by 8:45 am, there will be a short volunteer meeting at 9 am.

Runner Info
- Trophies for overall Female 5K Runner, Male 5K Runner, and Costume Contest.
- Medals for age division winners of the 5K Male & Female.
- Everyone will receive a race bib in your race packet. Please make sure that your bib is pinned to the front, most outer top layer so timers will be able to clearly see your bib number.
- 5K WALKERS/RUNNERS - Please do not pin the bottom tear-tag to your clothing as the tear-tag will be pulled off as you cross the finish line.
- The 5K & 1 Mile Routes start and finish at The Hitching Post.
- There are restrooms available inside The Hitching Post.
- Water will be available at the 1.5 mile marker.
- If you purchased a commemorative pumpkin, look for the pumpkins on your route. All participants are encouraged to take their pumpkins when they find them. After the race, please return all sticks attached to the commemorative pumpkins to The Hitching Post.
