FOURTH ANNUAL
CALAMUS AREA PUTT-A-ROUND
Sandhills Strong Board of Directors are proud to announce a donation in the amount of $6,318.03 to 4 THE CURE! This donation was made possible from the funds raised during the 4th Annual Calamus Area Putt-A-Round! The event took place on March 16, 2024 with 37 teams of five players. Teams stopped at Calamus Golf Course, South Lake PourHouse, Lazy D, The Rescue, Windmill Links at The Palladium, Northside Bar & Grill, Lowe’ded Bar, and Longhorn Lanes, that each hosted one miniature golf hole each. Teams proceeded from business to business until they completed their round of miniature golf. The event concluded at Longhorn Lanes in Burwell with dinner. Salads and desserts were provided by the Calamus Women’s Golf League.
The first place team members were Jimmy Petersen, Derek Snyder, Dan Smith, Ben Welniak, and Sam Trausch. The second place team consisted of Ridge Horky, Josh Barker, Brady Chilewski, Zeb Stefka, and Tanner Chilewski. Daniel Morrison, Debbie Morrison, Candy Keogh, Matt Morrison and Trish Morrison made up the third place team. The top dd golfer was Daltyn Rother and the top individual golfer was Gage Garnas.
Sandhills Strong would like to thank all of the players, sponsors, volunteers and generous donors that made this event a complete success. 4 THE CURE has positively impacted and assisted cancer patients in Central Nebraska for many years. Sandhills Strong is so grateful to be able to help such a wonderful organization, such as 4 THE CURE.
